Great starting pitching performances this series and the Diamondbacks win the series against the reigning World Series Champions. That is what happens when you have good pitching. Even the game the Diamondbacks lost, De La Rosa pitched into the seventh inning. I cannot remember the last time the Diamondbacks had four straight games where the team's starters pitched into the seventh inning or later each game. It must have been years since that last happened.

ESPN has become such an awful source of sporting news. The Diamondbacks are 22 on the power rankings and there are 11 teams ahead of them who have worse records. The Diamondbacks actually went down one spot this week. You would think a 4-3 road trip where the team takes 3 of 4 games in the World Series champs' ballpark including beating their ace would improve a team's respectability but I guess not. What a joke.
