Grew up in northern NJ and our entire LL team would pile into the back of our coach's station wagon and go out to the old Yankee Stadium and watch Mantle, Maris, Ford, Scowron, Bauer, Shantz and the likes. For some reason NYY was always hosting the KC A's back then (baseball's version of the Washington Generals).

Ogando used to get flack because he didn't have a third pitch. Yu gets in trouble for using more than three pitches.

There is a baseball rule. Never get beat throwing your second best pitch. Yu is getting beat using his 4th best pitch.

This is true, seems like Yu tries to set them up with the curveball or slider and "surprise" them with the fastball and it should be the other way around

yeah he seems to be throwing his fastball later in the count.........he is having trouble with the HR's

he still hasnt given up a lot of runs......sucks he hasnt got a win in a while but check post 59(i know its a old post)

he has been very good.......hopefully we(rangers) start getting some wins with him out there

It's like he's so stubborn he's going to prove he can throw any pitch to anyone. He's not making solid adjustments lately.

Would have liked hearing Nadel's rant. The thing is with the slow curve if by time it gets to the plate it's 4" off the ground and you sucker a LH batter into swinging at it ... that's great. But only LH batter that swings at that pitch in that location would have been me the first year of Little League. You throw it up and so it comes down in the zone ... a freshman in high school drives it out.

I think there is actually a label on the ball that says ... "Warning ... do not throw slow curves to LH batters or pregnant women".

crap missed the 15 game mark .....oh well after 16 starts numbers trending the wrong direction and still hasnt got a W

7-3 143 k's 2.95 era 1.00 whip 106 IP 14 hr's (last years total)

well he hasnt been "bad" at all really......but does anyone think we will get the really dominant YU back ????

hasnt pitched 8 innings since may 16.......era has climbed to over 3 and whip is up to 1.04....first time its been over 1 this year
