I was pushing hard for the Kings to acquire Jeff Skinner this off-season. Natural goal-scorer.
The sumbitch has 7 goals for Buffalo.
On the other hand, the Kings system would probably hold him to 16 all season.

Kings are the equivalent of Dean Smith at North Carolina, the only guy who could hold Michael Jordan to a 17.7 ppg avg.

I was hoping too but since he is a UFA to be at season's end, the consensus was he wanted to be on a team where he would be able to rack up points to cash in next summer. Of course if he does well, I don't think Buffalo would be off the table either.

What we do know is in LA he would have a complete center in either Kopitar or Carter but the Kings are known as a defensive team (except this season apparently) and it wouldn't have allowed him to show off his skills for that next big UFA contract.

Eichel is no slouch either although not in either of those guys' playing field but for what he is supposedly looking to accomplish he has a better chance of that there than here on Eichel's wing.
