He can't be stopped. You can only hope to contain him.

You have to hand it to the guy.... He's still missing some of his long balls, but he seems way more aggressive than in past games. It was nice seeing him fire it into coverage a few times. He seems confident.

Let's hope it keeps up.

He also threw two long balls that Green and Sanu absolutely should have caught. You spoke of confidence. That's the difference. That deer in the headlights look has been replaced by a focused look of a guy who knows he's going to succeed. Not sure where that came from all of a sudden, but it's made all the difference in the world.

We give credit where credit is due.... The kid has been sharp the last few weeks. No denying it.

Please remember to see your doctor if your erection has lasted for more than 4 hours.

I am not that excited about it, because I always knew he was capable of this kind of play, he just needed the light switch to go off.

It is everyone else besides me and Cincy78 that have to watch out for the erections lasting longer than 4 hours.

There's no doubt he's on fire. And I think part of the confidence he's showing right now is due to the fact that the last 2 weeks he's actually been accurately throwing the deep ball.

Right around this time last season the Bengals, Dalton, and the receivers caught fire for about a month before the wheels came off the offense. Granted last season it was against MUCH easier competition, we'll see where we stand in a few weeks. The next 2 weeks will be good tests.

Last year after our 8th game we were in the middle of a 4 game losing streak..... But you're right, our big winning streak started right after that when we won 4 in a row. Interestingly though, Dalton's best yardage output in that entire streak was 230. And his best yardage output for the entire second half of the season was in Pittsburgh when he had 278 -- And that was a very quiet 278 as the offense was awful most of the day.

Don't get me wrong, there are definitely more reasons to be more hopeful this time around. Both the Jets and Lions can be passed on, but overall their defenses aren't as abysmal as the ones we saw during last season's stretch.

Consistency is key. Do I expect Dalton to play at this level the rest of the season? No, and neither should anyone else. He's hitting on all cylinders down field. But in order to be true contenders, he has to be close to this level of play. You hit some deep, you miss some deep, but you always give your receiver a chance. That's where he needs to be and remain.

I believe it's different this time. He carries himself differently now. Even in interviews he seems confident, like he knows what to do now. Maybe it's just the homer in me, but it's not just the downfield accuracy, it's the aggressive, attacking attitude that shows he is learning his craft. The emergence of Marvin Jones is certainly helping, but it's possible Andy's new attitude is partially responsible for that, too.

we should end up 11-5, that's still pretty good.

There isn't a team left on the schedule we can't beat. Anything less than 12-4 would be a disappointment to me. We're a solid contender for a first round bye.

you still have 2 games versus the Ravens, but yea i agree there isn't a team on your schedule you can't beat, the only concern i'd have is you're still the Bengals and you guys don't live up to expectation.

I'm looking forward to our two matchups. You guys are still the defending champs until dethroned, and you deserve respect for that. That said, I like our chances. We also have Indy at home, and that helps.

What expectation?

Almost the entire media and most common sports fans think of this team as a marginal playoff contender at best. I'd say they live up to that expectation just fine.

As for the Ravens -- Wake me up when they're good again.

it sucks being defending champs you get everyone's best game, Steelers and Bills are great examples. I just hope the Ravens come out and play the way we all know they can.

Oh yea, sorry i forgot nobody expect Cincy to do shit.

You're right one and done again.....nope no expectation to win the division or compete to go to the SB for the Bengals....you're 100% right the Bengals suck and nobody expects them to do anything...

is this ^^^ more what you were thinking i should have said? :wtf2:

With Reggie Wayne out for the year, and KC/Den having to play one another twice, a #1 seed isn't out of the question if Dalton continues playing at a probowl level
