I don't know what the advanced stats are saying about this game but from what I see it looks like more of the same for our Kings. Trouble creating offense. And a really, really shitty power play.

Why oh why is it always Dwight King loose on these breakaways? Why do they even attempt that play? I can't remember him ever converting on one of those chances. And of course the puck goes back down to the Kings end, a shot, a save, the Kings (3 of them) can't clear the puck and it ends up in the net behind Jones.

Why not? Nobody else can get anything going. Might as well try something different. He did get off a shot. Of course it was blocked but Muzzin does that 95% of the time. Doughty just shoots it wide. I'm convinced the Kings don't work on the power play at all ever in practice. It's looking like another season of limping into the playoffs and try to win the Cup from the 7th or 8th seed spot.

Luck can only take you so far. Then you have to actually play hockey. It doesn't look like the Kings care whether they win or not or ever even score. I am seeing no effort on the offensive side of the game to create anything. They had better do something to change this up or I'm going to save a lot of money on playoff tickets.

Yeah I'm down with that. I'm kind of glad I won't be able to catch Saturday afternoon's game against Anaheim. I'll be in Modesto for a bowling tournament. I doubt being up there in Sharks territory that they'll have the Kings game on TV. Most likely won't even be able to get it on the radio.
