outside of the of the NL central and the AL wildcat, not much going on.

btw, Pelini sucks....

What about the wild three-way battle in the NL West to stay out of the cellar? :D

This is what being an irrelevant team gets you, sorry.

I see. So his performance against arguably the best team in the NL is diminished because he plays for the Padres. Makes perfect sense.

You know Teheran for the Braves pitched a 1 hit shutout against that same pirates bunch a few months ago. Not saying it's unimpressive but the Pirates have been known to lay eggs from time to time this season

Who's Andrew Cashner? He pitch for some minor league team?

You won't be so dismissive of the Padres next season. By all accounts, our starting rotation will battle for NL supremacy. Even Olney is giving them due.

A QB in a division II school throws for 500 yard in a game. Do you hear about or care...no.

Its the same shit.

Listen I am a baseball guy and cashner is having a good year. He was a big "fantasy" sleeper due to his K rates, but the casual fan doesn't care.

I think this might be Uggla's last year in MLB, he cannot hit at all

That's the Padres GM's cue to make a phone call. Kotsay's retiring. Uggla about done? Send him on over!

We would have to drug the Pad's GM to make something like that happen, hopefully he's willing to renegotiate his contract.....But I seriously doubt it

Your analogy is bullshit and you know it Floff. This is MLB and he did it (for the fourth time now) against arguably the best team in the NL. This is not Div II amateur bullshit.

sorry Hammer, his analogy isn't that far off...not saying it's right but it is what it is. No one would care if somebody from the Jays did this either.

I'd pay money to see them do it again the Yankees or Sox and then watch ESPN work overtime to bury it somehow. Kurkjian would have a panic attack.

Well ESPN panders to the northeast more than other areas, that's why I prefer cnnsi (cashner was front page there)

Fun for observers but definitely not for fans of the teams involved. Stroke city every night :gaah:

We're paying Carlos Quentin and Huston Street a combined $16,500,000. We gave the Dodgers one of our top catching prospects who had played enough games with the Pads this season to take with him ALL OUR SIGNS. Literally gave the guy away and didn't even get bats or Gatorade for him.

You wanting to move Uggla? Call Byrnes up.

Anyone see that a preseason hockey game between the Rangers and Devils had more people at it than the TB vs Tex game last night?

God Tampa fans are horrible.
