Sounds like he blocked a shot in Vegas instead of taking shots like Stoll. Hey O!

=)~~

Kings lose forward Dwight King to injury

Kings are down to 25 players if my math is right with McBain and Loverde Waived. Looks like 2 of Weal, O'Neill, Andreoff and Shore are going to make it and where the biggest competition will be.

I didn't really follow Training Camp this year, much like I haven't the last several years - funny how becoming a winning franchise creates time for you to do other things as opposed to following who will be making the team this season, how the June draft picks are doing, the pipeline, etc. I do not miss those days when the Kings sucked ass and that is all we had to look forward to.

When training camp opened, I was 100% off the grid for 72 hours camping with the wife and kids in Lime Kiln State Park by Big Sur. Sure was nice seeing my phone lose all bars as we were about 10 miles out and not having it blow up for 3 days. Was nice to not think about hockey either, whether that be the NHL or my beer leagues.

I'm a bit concerned if both O'Neill and Weal make the team, they aren't going to supplant anyone in the T6 except for maybe spot duty or PP time, mainly because of their size. They are what - 5'9"? - that's even shorter than I am and I'm not even 6'0". Being a bruising team that plays that style, that really worries me for the B6. We saw the Moller experiment and he got thrashed around like a rag doll, having 1/3 of your B6 as smaller guys doesn't make me feel confident they will be able to handle those physical demands.

On the flip, it does seem like smaller players are making their mark in the NHL (Tyler Johnson, Johnny Goudreau) so maybe this is the Kings' answer to injecting this behemoth team with some skill and speed from guys who can dart around while complementing the heavy game they play.
