Only one way that happens, Diggs suffers a massive injury within the first half of the year

I am not so sure about that.

Gabriel Davis is good. I don’t think he is as good as Diggs, but defenses are going to always pay extra attention to Diggs.

Davis should have the full time gig opposite Diggs now.

All it takes is a little regression from Diggs and another step forward from Davis.

And yes, I do own both players. But in a redraft, I am taking Davis at his price tag over Diggs at his all day long. And I like Diggs.

OR Gabriel Davis stays consistent, which is fine but nothing special. Defenses have keyed in on Diggs for years and he has the track record of staying consistent. I dont think anyone is questioning taking each player at certain points in the draft but the bet is absolutely crazy. The only way he outproduces Diggs is if Diggs gets hurt. That is all he is banking on. Diggs gets 2.5x the targets, at least double and that isn’t just magically changing.

Return on investment, and simply outscoring the other are 2 different beasts.

Pure and simple recency bias at play here with that 200+ yard, 4 score, playoff game vs KC, the only game in his entire career with more than 5 catches. Only game with more than 101 yards.

Can't bank on playing the Chiefs secondary with added overtime bonus stats every week.

To be totally fair, a more realistic bet would be Crowder vs Davis.

And I have never been Diggs biggest supporter

Allen loves slots, and Crowder is one of the slottiest slots in the league. Crowder is better than Beasely, Diggs and Knox dominate the red zone looks.

Gabe needs to take a major step forward in pecking order, could easily happen, but that's an egregious error on Bills playcalling if he outproduces Diggs

This is all good about the Bills receivers. But McKenzie has been the most added player in Sleeper leagues after this report:

Isaiah McKenzie Could Become Primary Slot Weapon

Share:
2 days agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie was quarterback Josh Allen's favorite weapon at mandatory minicamp practice on Wednesday. Allen
McKenzie on four of his 12 pass attempts, connecting on three, all short passes that the defense was allowing. McKenzie looked quick and shifty all day and was one of only three receivers that Allen targeted during team drills -- the other two being Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis. With Cole Beasley gone, McKenzie is one of two legitimate options in the slot right now, and he's taken advantage of his opportunities so far this offseason. The 27-year-old is a real contender to be the primary slot receiver this season, so he'll be one to watch during training camp.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Man, Mckenzie was dreadful in Denver not only as a receiver, but his failures on punts is what really drove him outta town.
I would be supremely stunned if he could putmuscle Crowder, or Davis, or anyone else, for any meaningful role.

So he made Lock look bad?

Actually Semian, Osweiller, Lynch, Keenum

But outside of an elite QB, no one could've made him look good. And he was just an utter embarrassment fielding punts, so unless you can blame the opposing punters, that's entirely in him.

He's been better in Buffalo, but he's no starting caliber player, and certainly no threat to a healthy Crowder. I certainly wouldn't wast a roster spot on him.

Doesnt happen oftem, but some players do get better when they realize they need to focus and not rely on natural ability alone. Thomas Jones comes to mind. The list is short.

I still have my Thomas Jones jersey from UVA. I hated getting asked why I was wearing a Bubby Brister jersey.

Ha, funny, I was trying to think of RB's who done just that a couple weeks ago, Jones was about the only example I could point to.

Marshawn kinda, but he was actually pretty good in Buffalo, just was better in Seattle. King Henry didn't blossom for awhile, but that was more due to D. Murray being in the way then Henry not being great.

McKenzie certainly could, who knows for sure, but with Diggs, Crowder, Knox, and Davis all around, plus Singletary and now Cook, all in an offense where the QB runs 120+ times a year and isn't at all likely to throw a 4750-5000 yard passing season up there, ever, .. he's definitely going to have to really step up and push someone to the side to get it done.

I am telling you that is not the only way.

The target gap won’t be nearly as big this year. Bet on that.
