IT's POLL time again everyone..yay....

Proposed change of our draft start time from currently set at one week after the NFL draft- Monday 8Am EST- changing it to, the Monday monring immediately following the NFL draft, 8Am est. This change would also push the 1 week free agency period back to the week leading up to the NFL draft.

And we're keeping it simple.
Yes - change to Monday after the draft
or
No.- keep as is, one week following the NFL draft.

Well... I'll point out that we almost finished the draft before the official time anyway. So maybe it doesn't matter, but I'm good whichever way.

I agree. We have all the information that we need to start our rookie draft the day after the NFL draft concludes.

I moved this over here - yes- Originally that week buffer was to conduct trades, let people get settled bakc into fantasy football mode after the offseaosn..etc.. Almost everyone wanted that week.

But we've got a few different owners since than, and it's never been revisited. I think it's about time we do re-visit. Apparently the group we've got now, is ready and roaring to go immediately

the biggest issue is that if we're going to be drafting- at this type of pace- it really defeats the purpose of havin ghe waiver claims/free agency going on at the same time.
Previously, when we'd barely get out of the first 10 picks or so, was no big deal..but if we're going to be getting into the 3rd/4th round, we're running the risk of conflicts between of an owner drafting a veteran player, and an owner grabbing him off the free agent heap at about the same time frame, and it's a hassle I'd prefer not to deal with.

i am going to have a very wishwashy answer...

I do like the week+, but also dont think we need it... the first few picks are almost always going to be easy... not too much research is needed... this has been the case for a while...

but we do reach a point in the first round, where it is nice to wait just to have a real understanding of what happened...

maybe instead of starting on a monday, we should do it the week after the draft starts, which would be on a thursday...

we can always have the drafters who want to draft early draft early... but having SOME TIME to digest is nice IMO...

or make the first round time 48 hrs instead of 24... both work for me...

then i will pick keep it as is... only because i dont think we should rush it...

but if we take away the time limit on picks in the first round, then i would be ok with it starting that monday...

Honestly, I'm not a fan of the pre draft waivers. Save it for post draft would be my choice.

As for this poll. I have no preference... but voted yes.

I'd say start it on Tuesday, so we can see where the first UDFAs go, and if someone wants to Milk the clock they're already on Wednesday.
