Partch is the real deal! I didn't see his granny to Carpenter the other night because I was pissed off and went to bed knowing that the game was over. Watched 4 stellar innings yesterday and I am here to tell you that this kid can pitch. 96+ fast ball, wicked curve ball, changes speed, and a nasty slider. Ship out one of these middle reliever scrubs for a fuckin right handed hitter and think about Partch as a set up guy. I think he is ready NOW.

The debut granny was to Holliday, not Carpenter. Not exactly putting a debut rookie in the easiest position to succeed in was it ? He was a hero last night, but 4 innings of relief from a career short man will probably put him on the shelf for days.

Partch is a short reliever and the 4 he pitched was more than any time this year in the minors.
I didn't see the game, just listened on WLW but it seemed he had the ability to buck it up when he needed. I suppose all pitchers can do that.

Eventually all of them will fail.

Missing Marshall is really hurting our bullpen, Hopefully he can start a rehab assignment soon and get back, But for now we are just gonna have to get use to seeing Manny Parra coming in late in a game against a lefty.
