The playoffs will be a source of affirmation! This team knows what's required to win against second and third tier teams since the majority of their wins this year have come from those groups.

The playoffs will give them a better idea about what's needed to play and win against top end competition given the limited samples during the season. (Baltimore, Philly, Pittsburgh) Most of it comes down to upgrading the talent, but they're also looking at style of play, schemes etc.

To me it doesn't matter who the opposition is in the playoffs this year. Hoping for easier opponents doesn't help in the long term. I get trying to position in order to get a postseason win being important to fans/followers and supporters but my focus is on actually getting better instead of having those sort of "feel good" moments.
