1m[/ame] Redskins would have been $1.85 million over the cap if not for the Cofield, Bowen, Carriker restructures. Now they're $1.85 million under.

There were reports that the Redskins were 2 million under the cap prior to those moves. What needs to be mentioned on that front is that up until final cuts, it's just the top 51 contracts that count against the cap. Once final cuts are made, the entire 53 man final roster counts against the cap.

So that's why moves were made to restructure a couple deals.

We just needed enough space to get us through the year. HAving money to go forward would be nice, but we will have space next year either way.

Still wouldnt rule out an extension of Rak or Williams mid season.

Yeah, they don't really need to do anything at this point unless something catastrophic happens injury wise. Unless it makes sense for the future. Like Rak and Williams.
