Cry me a Rivers

Would anyone start Tannehill over Rivers this week?

Rivers on Thursday @ Den (I don't have Rivers' Mile High career stats handy)
Tannehill on Sunday vs NE (Pats are really missing Wilfork and Mayo)


...last time I wanted to bench Rivers but didn't was in Miami three weeks ago, he put up 15
...so I benched him in KC the next week and he puts up 33
...so I confidently put him back in at home against the Bengals, he puts up 14
...and of course, on my bye week, he puts up a solid 25

Tannehill coming off back to back 25+ point games.

I'd play Rivers, there's little doubt he'll be needing to throw often in that game, and early weather reports along the front range here in CO are 40's-50's starting on Wednesday throughout the weekend. Obviously a night game will be a little lower, but by football standards, not too bad.

Trannyhill has done nothing this year to make a believer out of me.

This is coming from a HUGE doubter (me) - I have been impressed with T-hill this season. I thought he was a 3-5yr project coming out of college. Might still be a season or two away from seeing him at his best, definitely worth considering vs a weak D imo. Just not in the fantasy playoffs. Maybe a few weeks ago, but not with the season at stake.

1) He has thrown more TD than INT, and has more TDs than last year, so he's getting better
2) He's already matched last year's win total

And he's also taken a pretty good beating so far, so kudos to him for hangin' tough!

Monkey..yea I'll give him all that, I was more referring to proving himself a viable fantasy starting QB. He had shown improvement, but I still have serious doubts that he'll ever be better than the tier he's in now. Probably best case career QB2

I am a Dolphins fan so take that for what is worth when i say Thill will one day be something special. You have to keep in mind his line stinks and gives him very little if any time to search out options yet he is still having a better year than last. That said I think he is a year or two from really breaking out. I'd go with Rivers all though both Rivers and Thill should be passing a lot since they both play teams that score much. I think they will be close but for my money i would go with Rivers this week.
