I think a lot of the free agents left arent going to be signed mainly because of their asking price and the fact that anyone who signs them has to give up a draft pick.

my dad told me (which makes a lot of sense) when the season starts than the whole draft pick attachment is voided which I would assume would make teams really go after them.

Agreed to a point, but if they wait until season to start then they will be 2-4 weeks behind missing spring training.

Totally agree. I think if baseball wants parity then non-playoff teams should never lose draft picks if signing players and only non-playoff teams should gain a draft pick if they lose a free agent. Why should a lousy team like M's ever be penalized for trying to sign free agents to make them better?
