Crazy to think we could have had a Ohio State/Notre Dame NC game

I never really think about Ohio State being undefeated or not being able to be in a bowl game because of penalites. But we could have had a Notre Dame / Ohio State matchup in the BCS Championship game. That's gotta blow for Buckeye fans a bit. They would be playing Notre Dame for the title rather than an SEC team.

It is what it is. We knew coming into the season we werent making a bowl game and nobody thought an undefeated season was in question. It probably would be a better gane if that was the matchup. This matchup will probably be a blowout!

I wonder if they were eligible if it would've turned out any differently? Do you think that the pressure would have been greater knowing they had a shot at the NC and almost having to remain undefeated vs. knowing they couldn't go anyway and could play all season like they had nothing to lose? Hard to say I guess, just a thought. It is a shame that most of these kids did nothing wrong but are missing out on a possible NC because of a few other fuckheads who moved on.

As an OSU fan I can't complain. It's been a great season 12-0, best in the Big 10, and at least a number 2 rating in the final AP poll.

I agree, I feel bad for the all their players that did absolutely nothing wrong. And as hard as it is to go undefeated, chances of them doing it for two years in a row isn't likely, no matter who you bring back.

These guys may have missed out on their only opportunity because of some other dumbasses.

True. They have a pretty easy schedule, only good conf opponents we play are Wisconsin, Northwestern, Michigan, and Penn St, and half are in Columbus. Non-conf are cupcakes w/ best opponents coming w/ Cal and San Diego State. But it doesnt matter who you play, still very difficult to go undefeated two straight yrs.
