Crabtree expects to be cleared within 2 weeks

The 49ers expect Michael Crabtree (foot) to be cleared to practice within the next two weeks.
Even though Crabtree is not expected to play in any preseason games, it sounds like he could get two full weeks of practice in before Week 1. It's finally a positive development for the embattled receiver after he was slapped with a 4-6 week recovery timetable in late July. A chance to finally build some chemistry with Alex Smith would go a long way toward making Crabtree more than the mere late-round fantasy flier he is now.

I really wish Ginn would learn how to catch a friggen football. I would much rather see Ginn & Edwards outside the numbers and Crabtree splitting time in the slot.

Great news. I'm getting sick of this guys attitude. Cousin works at a bank in Santa Clara and Crabby came in with his mom. He was being a total a$$ to him mom and totally full of himself.

I hope VD can slap him around some more and wake him up.

Good news. I don't care what he does off the field, as long as he shows up on game day.

My opinion hasn't changed about Crabtree since before we drafted him. I hated him as a prospect and I hate him now. I know he can't help the injury but still it bothers me that he's never there during preseason and as a result they are always out of sync, leading to ints. Hopefully Alex doesn't force any balls to him early in the season like he did last year.

for me not quite......i don't care what he does off the field AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T AFFECT OTHER PLAYERS OR COACHES.

he can become a distraction off the field too, we don't need this.

and thats fine.

for me, want to see what he does this season? not so much his 'stats', but his behavior. everyone is good when the team wins, but personalities really show during the losing.

similar with posters. :-)

What's the over/under on him actually practicing before the reg season? Watch the clearance get pushed back for "soreness."

need a field stretcher for sure. I caught some of the one and one drills today at fanfest. Ginn was the only one who could get separation with one move.

Braylon dropped a few easy ones, took a few boos and then showed off a one hander tip toeing the sidelines.

yeah, ran into him at valley fair buying up boxes of shoes. Had my buddy's girl go up to him to see how he's doing - he seemed hyped up for this year..and then the next day reports he was having foot issues after the SJstate practice.

maybe it was from trying on all them shoes.
