Worth a look, Allen running down the linebacker.
This one from this morning DMN got me real quick…
Safety Darren Woodson remembers defensive linemen Charles Haley and Tony Tolbert talking in the early days of training camp about how this rookie offensive lineman with a can of dip tucked into his sock was a beast. He dominated from the start.
No one was spared in the Cowboys locker room those days. Any player could be the subject of ridicule or good-natured ribbing at any moment.
Allen was the exception. He commanded such immediate respect from his teammates that he was left alone.
“He was such a tough son of a bitch,’’ Woodson said. “You didn’t trash talk Larry Allen or make him the butt of a joke. Not even Haley.”
“You let Larry be Larry.’’
