Isn't there a rule that FA signed right before the signing team plays the former team the player has to be on the roster 3 weeks minimum, or does that rule just apply to PS members?

As a FA veteran, his contract is guaranteed if he is on the roster week one. But, I'm sure his contract will be for less than the $2M we are paying him to walk. Mistake on our part now of course, but if you go back to where we were when we signed him (Lee coming off injury, R McClain not signed, Carter and Durant FAs, hadn't yet drafted Wilson or signed Gahkar) it wasn't a bad move even if we ended up not needing him.

Guess I should've quoted east and PD. I was referring to Gahkar being signed just before Dallas plays the Giants. The rule I was talking about is signing another teams PS players. The rule is any player signed from another teams PS will get three weeks pay minimum.
