For those of you that wanted us to keep Kirk as a back up to Robert, after today, you got your wish. Based on his play these last couple of games, no way we get anything more than a 3rd. Might as well keep him. As far as pushing griffin, ain't gonna happen. We saw today why he lasted until the 4th round.

With a new coach in place, I'd still trade him for a 3/4th. Get a free agent QB or keep Grossman.

You just never know if someone may like Cousins tape and feel they can do something better with him than we did

too harsh and i mean that . we have 2 starting caliber qbs but we need pieces around them . that is the fair way to state it

you are right about trade value but we saw today that the players around need improvement

We saw a team today that quit. The oline really couldn't have cared less. Kirk was terrible. It was very tough conditions, but he was throwing behind guys 10 yds from him.

I guess I can't blame them. What really was the point. Your season is over, your coaches are gone, you may not even be around. Why risk injury?

the only thing that needs to be said is that KC wasnt the savior some him out to be .

all of the who say he runs the offense better were full of BS . they just run it differently

and i wish some of the KC ring leaders were here to fess up that they were wrong . we went 0-3 with him and the team performed pretty much the same way . ST's let them down , the defense couldnt make key stops , the o/line was out manned , and they play calling was unimaginative

same as it was with Rg3 .

and tannehill has had to horrible games with the playoffs on the line vs beatable teams so shoot that theory down on the way out the door

You're right, he is no savior. At least we won't have any stupid qb controversies going into next year. I have to believe almost all have to agree that rg3 is our best bet. Of course, there will still be a few........

I will play devils advocate. Tannehill would have cost nothing. Griffin cost a #6, #21, mid 2nd round and #2 pick in the draft. A very, very high price to pay. Miami won more than three games year so taking a shot at Tannehill doesn't hold water. Tannehill is the No. 20 rated QB while Griffin is the No. 26 rated QB. That's a lot of picks to give up for a QB of equal ability. Russell Wilson and Nick Foles were even higher picks and they are rated hire than both Tannehill and Griffin.

Griffin had a great first year but he cannot reproduce it in the same manner. Kyle installed an option offense that caught the NFL by surprise. Didn't work the same way this year. Now the big question, can Griffin transition to a pocket passing QB? I still hope he can. But he has a lot of work to do.

I don't know if Shanahan should have benched Griffin or not but he was regressing. His footwork was bad. He was missing reads. He was locking in on receivers and he was holding the ball too long. That is not arguable, everyone saw that. What is arguable is whether Shanahan should have benched him or not.

At this point it really doesn't matter, a new coaching staff will be here next year so no matter what happens as Redskins fans lets hope it happens for the best. Sometimes I think people are so worried about being right on here they forget the big picture is to win games no matter who the players are. I'd like to see Griffin be the guy we hoped we had last year and the be dead wrong about costing too many draft picks. That would make all of us happy.

RG3 regressed because of the lack of an offseason . the team was losing because of the above mentioned failures . now to top it off the alleged trade value for KC got torpedoed

Alleged is correct, I don't think anyone was going to give a 2nd round pick to a guy who had played one game. I never saw him as trade but more as a capable backup.

Adrian Petersen set the bar too high for recovery from knee surgery. Robert probably would have been best served by sitting out the first four weeks instead of the last three weeks. Knee surgery normally takes a year and a half to fully recover from. Hopefully they will name a new coach quickly and start working with him. The sooner the better.

I have little faith in Snyder but I am a Redskin fan so hope springs eternal. We are the masters of the off season.

Dad, that all depends on who the new coach is. If it is Briles, expect much more of the "doom and gloom" as you like to refer to it. Honestly, for most of us, there is very little to look forward to in the coming months. But we always seem to win the offseason, so who knows. Maybe we can rise to the occasion again.

Personally, I think I would be mad or possibly want to bench Griffin too, IF he was healthy, had an complete off-season, had other options than Garcon. That's my only conflict with the huge disappointment some have in Griffin this year. Give'em another shot... Besides the QB gets all the praise/blame...the D, ST was horrible, cap penalty and Kyle frankly needed to give Morris more carries.

The coaching staff as a whole never progressed or adjusted enough during the year...

Thankfully, and mercyfully the season is over.....Time to exhale and start the first phase of Redskin Football 2014.......Sucks that is the case, but it is....

Cousins did NOTHING to improve his trade value...We as fans had hoped to maybe get a 2nd or some extreme people saying higher.......Well it didn't happen...He was terrible today, terrible against the brokebackers, and decent against a YOUNG and INEXPERIENCED and BAD Falcons team..... I dont see us getting a 2nd for him......UNLESS a QB NEEDY team realizes he is the best option on draft day in the 2nd round when they are on the clock.....Anything less then a 2nd, I say keep him.....

Kirk was not the savior, and based on his play, would not have beaten RGIII for the startes job....I am convinced right now......Go ahead and have an open competition...it would take the new coach probably less then a week to see that RGIII is the best option to lead this team.....

I dont see the coach being Briles (at least I hope not).........I have professed ti before and I will again...

I want either Lovie or Jay Gruden.....those are my top 2 Choices....
