lol - My comment was based on the clip TSN showed tonight (looked like he fanned on the shot). I remember watching him playing against Canada at the U-18s and I thought he looked decent out there.

yeah, that Smyl love-fest was a bit awkward.
as we all know, Pittsburgh people became aware of hockey 2005, so I'm not really sure who the intended audience for that was.

in that vein though, I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't straight out punch their 2011 first round pick right in the face as he reached the top of the stairs.

What a HORRIBLE draft day for the Isles. Garth blew it again. Reinhart has size, but doesn't use it.

Garth decided to make things worse by giving up a 2nd round pick in next years draft for Visnovsky, who will be 36 in August. To say Garth overpaid is an understatement.

I'm not drunk yet, but I expect to be SOON.

The more I think about it, the more I think that Howson should have moved the second overall. I guess he feels he has his goalie, but I am not convinced. Murray will be a solid, if unspectacular player and he already has a relationship with Hartsburg. But he doesn't fit a need. At least not one they have now.

Something else has to be done, and the nitwit probably thinks he needs to move Nash to do it no more than ever. They get all of Huselius' cap hit back. If they can waive/dump Mason they can aim for some firepower up front But moving Mason means they need a backup still. Grrr.
