Im thinking next fall

If they fight it's gonna be Cinco de Mayo. Mexican style vs an actual Mexican. On May 5th weekend that is probably over 1.5 million PPV buys. Maybe 2 million. Thats Mayweather type money. In the fall it probably does about what Cotto v Canelo just did. Around 8-900k.

Canelo is looking like a ducking coward by insisting on a 155 limit. I will be pleasantly surprised if this fight happens by next Fall.

If Canelo vs GGG happens, I'm not sure who'd win, but it'd be the best fight in boxing in several decades. It would be what Mayweather vs Pacquiao and Canelo vs Cotto was expected to be.

A decade I'll buy. But I have a soft spot in my heart for that era in the late 90's early 2k's. Oscar DLH in his prime, Sweet Pea Whitaker maybe just past his. Ike Quartay might have been my favorite until he gave up boxing after losing to DLH. But no Tito Trinidad was definitely my favorite at the lower weights. The division was stacked and they all fought each other, and then moved up to fight Winky Wright and Sugar Shane, and then even Bernard Hopkins. That was a nice little mini golden age during the decline of boxing, and there were definitely a handful of worthwhile PPV's in those years.

But I get the hyperbole, I love GGG as much as anyone. I've definitely been driving his bandwagon for a while now.
