Lions have no interest in re signing Ansah to a new deal this off season. Interesting. Sounds like they might just tag him and keep him two more years then just let him go at age 28.

No way in hell i sign a franchise tag in his situation trade him or give him 6X million guaranteed will be the options. He will be 27 this is only chance at a big contract. He gets hurt while playing on the tag he cost himself 40+ million

This will become the norm for most other than some QBs and WRs (and in rare instances CB). The fact is that most other positions are routinely replaceable every year.

Personally I would wait until the first few games and see f he picks up where he left off. If so sign him to an extension. I think that will probably happen. Ziggy is the real deal. More a case if he can stay healthy consistently.
