I think it's safe to say the Pens fans are glad the Flyers and Caps didn't win it. The Caps fans are happy the Pens or Flyers didn't win it. And the Flyers fans are just disappointed they were so close, but at least the Caps or Pens didn't win it.
Hell, i am a Pens fan and I wouldnt have been upset with the Flyers winning. I mainly hated the Flyers because of some of their fans over at the swamp but now that I only get to deal with the cool ones here, I dont hate so much. I really like the Hawks team also so either way I wouldnt have been upset!
It's interesting... I hate Pronger, I hate Hartnell, and I hate Carcillo. I dislike Briere (no apparent reason) and I dislike Carter (also no reason), yet I couldn't help but root for the Flyers. Their run was so impressive, you just had to cheer for them.
That said, i was happy to see Hossa win the Cup, and it sounded to me like Hossa was the only Hawk to get some cheers from the Philly crowd. I think they knew how much he wanted it, so that was pretty cool of them.
I agree. i think it was pretty cheap of him to run around for the last three years wagging his tail chasing the best team.
I guess it stems from the fact that this is a team sport, and I always like seeing a group of players develop together. hired guns are just that.
