He slowed down at the blue line and then just made sure the Nashville player couldn't get to it by running a little interference. He probably would have caught it at the circles if he skated hard the whole way.

it was class ... he knew who lofted the puck and the circumstances of what the goal would mean to that player and for the team ... plus he retrieved the puck lol

if there was any doubt about him being team captain going into this season, there should be absolutely zero doubt with the accumulation of his words and actions throughout the year until now ... consumate lead by example guy
