CONGRATS JOE!!!!!

Can the Hawks stay together? Dynasty.

Thanks TKO. I think the core of the team is under contract for a couple more years. The trick might be getting Brandon Saad signed now that he's a free agent. Sounds like he wants to stay in Chicago. We'll see. Heard a rumor that Brian Bickell's contract might be bought out (probably to keep Saad). I'm fairly pleased with the Hawks' prospects in Rockford (AHL) too.

But the Bowmans have shown over the last few years that they're smart enough to keep the main players, and shrewd enough to let others walk (or trade) and replace them with cheaper, yet quality talent. What worries me is that other teams are copying the Blackhawks blueprint for building a team. The Western conference is tough enough. And Tampa in the East really impressed me the way they played.

Never easy to win. Savoring the moment.

I cant root for the Hawks...ever but man that was a fun series to watch. It was lose lose for me this year as the Bolts put the Wings out and the Hawks well old habits die hard. I wasn't opposed to a stadium collapse where miraculously no one was hurt but both teams would forfeit :thumb:

Having a good night tonight.

Listening to the Blues (Jamiah on Fire & the Red Machine).
Watching the NHL draft.
Eating a Chicago pizza.
Ranking my fantasy football players.

As a certain beer commercial once said... "it doesn't get any better than this."

Pretty disgusted with Boston last night. I really thought they would have been able to move up with three 1st's. Don Sweeney was a great DMan, but as a GM, not a good start.

The Lucic trade really shocked me.

Not sure who is covering the draft on the Canadian side, but in the states, they have the unusual suspects from NBC sports net starting with Pierre McGuire.

those usual suspects are all from Canadas TSN and as the game grows NBC is stealing them away...

now you had Mckenzie who is the best no one in media knows the young drafties any better than Bob

the Lucic trade is a killer especially the retaining of some salary

for me the real shocker is the Bees not finding a way to keep Dougie Hamilton one of the best young 1A D in the league that will haunt them ...

you must be pissed i cannot believe that after the 2 trades having picks what 13 14 15 he couldnt move up to grab Hannifen

just brutal

and now the Habs/Bees will not be the same for quite awhile

no Lucic no fun....

i hope the Habs move Emelin out west to San Jose or Anaheim so that he can renew is lovely friendship with Lucic

i feel for ya TKO at least as much as i can for any Bruin Fan (ouch never thought i would say that)

@Barilko @TKOSpikes
Did you see that the Coyotes picked up Pronger's contract?
There has to be something seriously wrong with the Arizona ownership... they're a franchise in (1) a tough division/conference, (2) a franchise that's in serious financial trouble, and to complicate both matters, they (3) agree to a contract for a player that isn't even playing anymore.
They might just be the Oakland Raiders of the NHL.
