St Louis is the same - there are at least 6-7 locally owned and operated delis that are better than any nation-wide chain, but in Nashville they are a little harder to find, and Jersey Mike's and Publix are way better than Subway
Local butcher shops that offer deli style sammaches, those are easily the best. Problem is finding one. Some do, most dont

There's a place not too far from us called Epic Deli. They have some crazy combination of things. My favorite is they take a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich (with hot peppers) and deep fry it like a chimichanga.
Man, my mouth is watering... :hungry:

Anyone collect sports cards and/or memorabilia? I was looking over the different forums here and couldn't really find a place to look for that type of discussion. Been getting back into the hobby recently and wondering where I could go to discuss things if I need to.

If any of the mass produced stuff from the 1990s is worth anything, let me know!

That's one of the first questions I wanted to ask. Back in the day, you would get a Beckett and that was that. If it said your card was worth $5, it was worth $5. Now, I talk to people a out how much something is worth and they all look at sold items from ebay. But those vary from auction to auction. Plus now, there are so many versions of each card. Is it the one with the black border or gold border or silver background? Is it numbered out of 25 or 75? And the big one is whether it is rated or not. Ratings can change the value of a card tremendously. What the rating is, what company rated it and when... all that makes a difference. The game has changed.

Most of the mass produced stuff from the 90s is junk. There are a few cards worth money, but not many. Woods2K has a thread on the hoop, but it is a lot of bragging about how much money they made. The best site I have found for fellow collectors is Trading Card Database, just don't believe the prices on there.

I collected a lot in 80's and 90's but got out of it when it all became about inserts and graded cards.
Same..
I've got few pretty nice ones that at some point might get graded, might not..but I can't recall the last time I thought about buying a pack.

Lots of decent stuff from early 80's on through the mid 90's..but the stopped

many times scarcity (as in most collecting) can certainly alter prices "ya i know im not telling ya anything here"

just whining because i have many late 60's early 70's rookie baseball cards

you know the lot Reggie Jackson, Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan, etc etc that should be worth a killing

however they are Canadian O Pee Che which are identical to the Topps Cards and though the Canadian card is way less available it does hold much value when beside the Topps versions

funny thing though when it comes to hockey well...the market will kill for O Pee Chee...

here is a link to Mr October 1969 Topps Reggie Jackson Rookie Card: The Ultimate Collector’s Guide - Old Sports Cards

i have quite a few of those Reggies.. identical in every way except replace Topps with O Pee Chee

My dad has a few Tom Seaver and Ryan/Koosman rookie cards. Let my brothers and I sell some of the backups at a big card show in the mid 90s, fun times
