My dad still has a number of his old baseball cards he collected growing up, including Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver rookie cards.

Is it worth it to have a few of the more valuable ones PSA graded? Or just make sure he continues to store them properly and deal with grading them in the future?

What are you looking to do with them? If you are looking to sell them then go ahead and pay the up to $50 per card and then be prepared for PSA to hold your cards hostage until you pay them more. If you are looking to keep them, just make certain they are properly stored.

Theres a card shop in Nashville where PSA has their own section/mini-store within the store set up, so making it convenient and in-person was the main draw. Didn't know if there were any reasons to have them graded vs keeping them stored for the time being.

Most people like to have them graded. I prefer them raw. PSA since Covid happened has become a greedy company. You used to be able to grade a card for around $15. Now the price to grade the card is dependent on what PSA says is the value of the card. If I sent in a Walter Payton rookie PSA would want over $100 to grade it. While if I sent in a Danny White rookie they would only want about $20.

How the F do the awards people sleep at night?
How can someone be an offensive player, win the MVP award, and not be in the top 3 of 'offensive player of the year'?

Similarly, how can a player win the offensive player of the year, and and beaten out of the MVP by an offensive player- especially one that wasn't in the top 3 recognized best offensive players?

There just is no damned logic.

I GUARANTEE that if a defensive player were to ever win the MVP again, he would 100% also win defensive player of the year.

Dumb dumb dumb.

Well, my rant is they already have too many awards for athletes and celebrities. Grammys, Oscars, Peoples Choice, SAGs, Emmys, MVP, MOY...

Must be nice to make millions and just go to black tie events and be given awards for DOING WHAT YOURE BEING PAID TO DO ANYWAY.

I'm fine with the sportswriters awards, MLB, NFL, NBA, that goofy ice capades stuff up north..so long as they take their award, thank their teammates coaches whatever, and go sit back down. But the ESPY's?? not needed, unless you want to focus on amateur sports, go for it. I won't watch, but go for it.

As to the others? Grammy's, Tony's, Oscars, Emmy's- fine, whatever. I probably won't watch, but sure honor the best in those industries. the rest? piss off. Once you get past the "real' awards, it's nothing more than a bunch of entitled asshats in a big circle jerk

1) guy never put sheets on his dorm mattress, like ever
2) multiple times per day, regardless if other people were around, he'd lay on the raw mattress, butt naked, and pleasure himself. Sometimes with a blanket, sometimes not
