Looks like Nebraska got the last receiver in their class. Irons was a ways down but once Blair turned us down as did a few others Irons was the only receiver we would take left in this class. So, Blair... a 2-star WR... 5'10" 170ish... but has world class speed. One of the fastest kids on Edna Karr's team according to the Head Coach which really means something considering it's chalk full of D-1 Talent. Will update commit list shortly.

Don't need to be tall to catch a 5 yard out.

I can already hear the word "electric" getting thrown around in post practice interviews.

So is it realistic to think the 5 yd outs and bubble screens will finally be called into question (for a lack of meaningful production) during this off-season?

I always found it strange that Bo's defense is focused on the 'bend but don't break' philosophy. NU will give them yds between the 20's, and hope they shoot themselves in the foot, or hold them to a FG when the field gets shorter.

Yet the offense he's trying to run is the same offense his defense prefers to line up against. :noidea:

RA you and I both know that Logic does not play a part in Bo's strategy.

He, Tim and Pooch just go out and get shit canned at Wilderness, talk about how fuckin out of papoopy's league his wife is, (google her) and gameplan with like 40 beers downed between the three of them. All the while Bo is dodging Carl's bail bond texts.

Year 7, Brasky. That's when all of the pieces of this here process are going to fall into place. All of the lessons required to be an elite head coach or coordinator have been learned.

If not, then it will be year 8. What's another year anyway?

Seriously though. Bend But Don't Break is relying on the opponents offense to either get a penalty or turn the ball over prior to getting into your red zone.

An average team that comes out and plays good fundamental football on offense will be in position to win. A team that plays those good fundamentals and has real good athletes as well are in position to win big.

As an opposing head coach or offensive coordinator you spend game week drilling that into your players heads. Nebraska's going to give you the field between the 20's. Just execute about 6 plays well and you're in the game.

See CCG against Wisky.
