Nebraska got a surprise commitment from Edna Karr WR Jariah Tolbert... he's 6'3" 185 lbs and had other "reported" offers from Utah, Tulane and Kent State.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Congrats to Karr '14 WR, Jariah Tolbert, on his verbal commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers! <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23B1G&amp;src=hash">#B1G</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23KarrFootball&amp;src=hash">#KarrFootball</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23SecondToNone&amp;src=hash">#SecondToNone</a></p>&mdash; Karr Football (@karrfootball) <a href="https://twitter.com/karrfootball/statuses/421327627170086912">January 9, 2014</a></blockquote>

Not many of the recruiting sites knew about him either. Teammate of Jaevon Walton's (as is another slot reciever that's visiting next weekend). He had 17 catches for 299 yards and 7 TDs as a senior. I would suspect he'd be a mid level 3-star about.

Just heard on the radio that those stats are incomplete... on the Nick Bahe show he said he had 1,000 yards receiving this season.

Coach said he's gotten his 40 down to mid 4.5... I think that means he runs a 4.6-4.7... big bodied receiver doesn't need to be blazing fast.

lol when I first saw that 4.87 40 I was like did he get Tebow to run that.

I know he's tall but he isn't 200lb that means little gym time is in order or get the speed up to 4.4 area

he's about 190 now... pretty good for an incoming freshman but he can add weight. I would think we would get him to about 215-220... would be a weapon on the outside, definitely as a frame for it.

King frazier has left the team. I wish we could have found a spot for him on the team. DB WR somewhere.

Nebraskas WR corp is shaping up to have little drop off after Bell an Turner leave.

Frazier was a pure RB... he was a less talented Adam Taylor, saw the writing on the wall and transfered to NDSU. Good move for him. I liked him as a runner too but you can't argue with the talent in that room right now.

Bell is fast but wasn't great this past season and Turner was out nearly the entire year.

That 40 time had better be wrong.

Good luck to King Frazier at North Dakota State. I am wondering if Jamal Turner would transfer?

Why would Jamal Turner transfer? If he went to a D-1 school he'd have to sit out a year and only have one more year to play. Goes to an FCS school and he only has one left as well. Turner is most likely sticking around.

LOL at the dog picture.

I knew that Turner statement would get some remarks. Jamal has talent. He did not do what he did in high school, as a QB, just by being lucky.

Do you truly think Turner is happy with his playing time? From the way he talks he does not seem to understand why he is not getting more playing time and he seems frustrated.

I was just thinking that maybe if he took his talents to the FCS level he would have a better chance of getting playing time and using his god given talents.

Turner was out with an injury for the whole second half of the season sir.

I don't think he's upset with his position at all either.
