The commanders are lucky to have caught Pennix in his second game. That throw to Pitts was a fucking beauty.

Commanders were lucky to come out with a win.

I had Penix third in this draft, but very close behind Daniels and Williams. This QB class, no check that, this draft class was loaded and the QBs have not disappointed. Penix is an assassin who is just getting used to the pro game.

Our rookie QB leads a ballsy TD drive throwing an absolute seed to our underachieving TE who FINALLY ( for the first time in his 4 year career ) makes a huge catch

The D does their job and forces a 3 and out

Rookie comes back in and throws a laser 20 yard pass to start the drive. At the 45 with 38 seconds left. 2 timeouts

And our jackass HC doesn't call it

17 seconds later we snap the ball

That 17 seconds is the difference between us making the playoffs for the first time in 7 years and not making it

Literally every person on the planet who even moderately watches football was screaming timeout at the screen

Except for the HC of the Atlanta Falcons

I don't hate Morris. He seems like a good dude. But that shit should get you fired. Clearly you're in over your head.

We needed 4 more yards to win the game. 17 seconds is 2 or maybe even 3 plays to get that 4 yards

I can't take much more of this constant ineptitude from our franchise. Its legit taking years off my life

You’re preaching to the choir regarding ineptitude at the head coaching position.

The good news for the falcons is that you know you have a young qb to pair with an absolute stud at rb for the foreseeable future.

Some pass rushers and corners and you’ll be running the south for years.

you should hate Morris and yes and that clock management warrants a firing. You guys picked Morris over BB. Would BB have done that clock mgt. last night? No Way.

Disagree, BB might have stuck with Kirk Cousins, might not have gotten them in the position to be playing for anything at all and might have made the same or worse mistakes as Morris. You're giving a lot of supposition credit to BB.

Nope, but Morris is their choice and BB is doing commentary right now. The proper perspective is what actually happened in real time and not what might have been. Think about that for a moment and ask yourself what can be done to change the poor clock management that has already taken place.

How am I defending Morris? Washington won and he's their HC, isn't that a good thing?
What I am defending is this quick bend towards messing with another man's pockets because imperfect people get bent out of shape when others don't meet their standards of perfection.
