Mccann can play slot CB and move Butler to FS. In those situations
Yes we need a MLB
Actually Turner from Pitt who we just signed can play Center. So if we lose our starting center we move Turner there and use Wes at RG.
I gotta push back Dean. I still think this team needs a corner. Concussions are never a good thing and that's what kept BSJ out.

True but they are going to give BSJ a shot. they like Danny Johnson. He played alot last year.

I dont think BSJ can play slot. He was on the outside last year. When BSJ was healthy, it was Fuller who was getting torched in the slot.

When BSJ got hurt they moved Fuller back outside where he was very good the second half of the season.

Did Danny Johnson play the slot?

Slot corner (maybe Butler can fill that role)

Landon or Landon type
Center? Both your starting centers are coming off of injury

i dont think MLB is a huge need for the way the game is played . 61 snaps out of 1000 had us in a 3 lb alignment. i will take one if i can get one but i am not going to lose sleep over it

lol. that is the defense we played last year. Very rarely were there 3 Lbs on the field at the same time.

I hate to jump out the window early, but im seeing 10 wins if we stay healthy and Wentz doesn’t wet the bed.
I will not offer a prediction this year, because when I do so, it causes a lot of unnecessary angst/anxiety on these threads.

They're gonna have to. We have invested too many #1s for them to play the way they did last year.
The defense will definitely be better this year! They were #8 against the run last year and will probably be somewhere close to that again this year. They will play a little better this year against the pass, so overall they will be a better defensive unit.

I see a sputtering offensive unit, some good some not so good and lots of scoring issues. They won't be worse than a year ago, but you're going to have to squint your eyes a whole lot to see mark improvement.

Ordinarily, with a prediction like this you'd guess good things for the team based on last year. Unfortunately, improvement on defense and slight improvement offensively will be met with better play from almost all of their opponents this year, especially when that opposition comes against division rivals.

Correct sir! Rule changes and an increasing emphasis on offensive production has changed the way certain positions, more important schemes and a need for hybrid types to man them have come into play.

I not fully convinced that the league is done with these changes, but what I do know is that winning games by scores of 13-10, 19-10, 3-0, etc are fast becoming a thing of the past. Perhaps, old conventional defensive coaches and head coaches are also out of vogue, as well as how we define "good defense."

I'm still curious as to the identity that they will have on offense. You Look at McLaurin, Dotson, Samuel, etc.......and you would think they are gonna throw the ball around the park, but part of me thinks they might want to protect Wentz and play some smashmouth with Gibson and Robinson. Really not sure at this point.

It will be interesting now that that Turner can use every play in his playbook. Do we see a wide open throw first offense?

When I saw the Chiefs Bills game I didn't realize that there is a whole other league that the Redskins are not a part of. We are in desperate need of blue chip playmakers. Difference makers. That's kinda why I was so hyped on Williams, even with the injury risk.

Nope! What I forecast was an unknown player would replace him and that he wouldn't take a snap for the team in 2021. He ended up with 16 snaps, that is pretty damned close to dead on as predictions like that go.
