We have tried buying our way as well , been there and done thatCannot "cheap" our way to settling the QB quandary, been there done that! It's like déjà-vu all over again__ Yogi Berra
If we had a top 3 guy to get we tried for top 2. With me and he ended up a has beenOverpaying for nearly used up talent, isn't the same as getting a top three 25 year old player.
Are you speaking specifically to Alex Smith or?We have tried buying our way as well , been there and done that
Tannehill is a very interesting idea. The problem is the cap, Rodgers's contract requirements, and the structure of Tannehill's deal.
Thanks, man, I was just researching this!Tannehill is a very interesting idea. The problem is the cap, Rodgers's contract requirements, and the structure of Tannehill's deal.
First, right now TN is about 1M over the 2022 cap
Second, due to Rodgers money demands, TN needs to gain A LOT of cap space even if all its FAs leave
Third, trading him could save 10M in cap space, but the Commies would have to pay his 29M salary for 2022
One agent called such a trade "nonfeasible" for the Titans. Under the contract, next year is the time for the Titans to move on Tannehill.
Washington would be a better signing...Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster said he’s “likely headed” for free agency.
Smith-Schuster re-signed to a one-year, $8 million contract as a free agent last offseason. A shoulder injury limited him to five games before returning for a Wild Card loss to the Chiefs. With Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson on rookie contracts, the Steelers have cap space to sign one of Smith-Schuster or James Washington this offseason. There should be an active market for Smith-Schuster, who doesn’t turn 26 until November, but it may come in the form of another one-year deal.

could get JuJu for a 1 year prove it deal while they fix other areasWashington would be a better signing...
He played 5 games last year due to injury, cannot separate and the Steelers wouldn't sign him back if they had available cap space. There are better options country.could get JuJu for a 1 year prove it deal while they fix other areas
maybe but he is not even 26 yet and thats why i said a 1 year prove it deal Washington has so many holes to fixHe played 5 games last year due to injury, cannot separate and the Steelers wouldn't sign him back if they had available cap space. There are better options country.
Some good points.![]()
3 easy cuts that can save Commanders $15 million in cap space
The Washington Commanders will have over $30 million in cap space this offseason, and cutting these three players could add a lot more money to the pot.riggosrag.com
the commies have 30 mil in cap space making a trade for carr , grap DW and watson hard . if payne is added on a trade you get 8 mil plus the 15 mil cutting these guys . however that leaves you with the prospect of losing payne ionman and settle which eliminates the center of the d/line . settle probably will cost 8 to 10 mil to retain as a starter with JD needing to be resigned before 2022 when the parade begins on both sides of the LOS in 2022 with wes , flowers coming due along with mac (franchise tag available )
we havent talked about drafts ( if they are gutted ) replacing these guys becomes difficult at best
you almost have to cut LC now or pay a huge future cap price
Settle can start in the nfl on at least 1/4 of NFL teamsSome good points.
You really think Settle will get a raise that big? I get that he's the productive 3rd DT who will start when Payne is shipped out, but 8-10M/year for a guy that has started 1 game in the last 2 seasons? Would Payne take that much to stay or is he seeking more than that?
