It is hard to upgrade the position when you have to pay the QB 50 mil. That is why Tyreek left.

True, as much as I'm entertained by Lamar, i understand both the Ravens and Redskins being unwilling to meet his current demands. I remain all in on Howell, and believe with better play calling, TMac, Samuel, and Brown and the other guys brought in, should finally do DAMAGE to defenses around the league

i get that we wouldn't get Jackson. AS far a Roullier he could restructure or Thomas could be cut to sign the draft picks. IF they wanted to cut Roullier it would have already done when the Gates signing went down. Is it possible we could draft and center then cut Roullier? Yes but I would rather give Howell Roullier than a rookie center. Roullier is still up in the air its not cut and dry as of now. I agree Thomas and Norwell should be gone.

fine but we lose talent at the Center position. Center is more of a priority over Cb, Te, LG, LB and LT assuming Roullier is healthy? If Center is drafted in the first 3 rounds then that would be the end of Roullier. Plus if Roullier is released wouldn't Gates be the center?

Jesus dean , Roullier has had season ending injuries 2 yrs in a row as has Larsen . We had 8 different starting centers the past 2 yrs .

we need a center to actually play the position and as I have said ad nauseam all 3 of the centers have injury issues .

So BSJ has been hurt two years in a row. All players get hurt. Im not saying we won't take a center but its not priority if Roullier is healthy.

That is almost as many centers as QBs trying to replace Cousins.

i saw that mock from cbs that had us taking Branch over Spoon at 16. that was a good laugh. Spoon and Gonzo are the top 2 Cb's in the draft.

There was a PFF article @Breed posted, i saw at least 2 late round picks that were just a effective as Sweat. Also you can replace him in the draft. We're seeing more edge rushers/defenders come out and be effective early

In fairness, the OL didn’t have a single player left that was any good. You also make it seem like our OL was legit once Trent Williams left. Also, according to PFF, Scherff graded at a 60.6 while Norwell was a 59.8.


From there, on the DL, we have 40 million wrapped up in two DTs. Our entire OL last season was less than those two players.

Maybe history and analytics don't support my statement, but it seems like there's always solid edge rushers available every year. Sweat hasn't shown me anything where he MUST be re-signed. Good player sure, gamechanger, no....unless its against 3rd string cowboy QBs
