Gotta do better then this early

So it is an interesting dilemma. Had we drafted better, we would not have been in position to draft Jayden Daniels but this is what was available within five picks of these players.

2020
1- Justin Jerbert
3- Justin Madabuke DT
4- Tyler Biadasz C

2021
1- Christian Darrisaw
3- Paulson Adebo CB
4- Cam Bynum- S
6- We chose Cam Cheeseman and I decried the selection while Dad applauded the pick as a 10 year fix. We could have had Trey Smith, four year starter and two time SB champ…or was it three time?

2022
1- Trent McDuffie CB
2- Jaquan Brisker or George Pickens
5- Darian Kinnard

2023
1- Christian Gonzalez, Jack Campbell, or JSN
3- Jake Moody- a kicker is better than Dean’s Stromberg

Good point gk regarding Jayden being available to us.

Pesonally I am not interested in wash, rinse repeat. If all those bad picks netted Daniels and AP builds the team from here I am good.

We sucked for 33 years, not just 4 years. When I was 36 I thought winning was a birthright. I felt like Snyder selling the team was a gift from above. I am hoping in my old man years the team is a perennial playoff team.

This is funny right after we clinched a playoff birth. lol

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Jets are scheduled to meet with Ron Rivera over their head coaching vacancy.
Rivera, 62, was let go by the Commanders after leading the team to a 4-13 win last season. Rivera’s downfall in Washington could be largely blamed on the team’s poor roster construction over the years, as the head coach/general manager spent four years piecing together a bottom-five roster that saw all of its first-round picks traded/released before the end of the 2024 season. During his nine seasons as head coach of the Panthers, Rivera led the team to three double-digit win seasons and an appearance in the Super Bowl during the 2015 season, but things didn’t go nearly as well in Washington. Rivera’s only playoff appearance with the Commanders came in 2020, when the Commanders went 7-9 and were the best team in a bad NFC East division. Rivera is unlikely to have full autonomy over any roster he takes over, but he could have one more coaching run in him if he can get the right quarterback in the building.

Rivera is getting a lot out of the things that Cam Newton did while he was in Carolina. The Jets need a QB and unless they can get one who's equally capable of carrying a Rivera led team, this would be a terrible move for them to make.

I added an explanation to my one word response.

ok but he supposed to be a seasoned NFL coach. ATL was predicted to win that division. The money they gave KC. I don't like firing first year HC's but this is warranted.

Did those people who predicted them winning the division, tell their opponents to cooperate? Let's agree that had they gone with Penix earlier in the year, this team likely beats Washington last night, mistakes and all. If I'm going to blame Atlanta's HC/management team for mistakes, that hesitancy to switch QBs is far bigger than last nights errors.

disagree. You cant justify Morris last night. It was playoff game for ATL.
