It's been 5 years since he wore a Chiefs uniform. That being said, it was Reid's offense he played in...not EB. We have no clue what type of offense EB will run as Reid was the play caller and it was his offense. It should be a variant of Reid's but we don't know. Heck, Rivera even said we will be a 2:1 running team in the offseason. Who knows what is actually going on with this team.

I am not sold on the tight end room. EB isn't santa Claus and won't make these players all pros and 100% healthy. That being said, those numbers appear low to me.

That is true but Thomas is not kelce.
I am excited for EB because I was never on board with Turner. I hope EB applies what he learned under Reid. I think he will.
The problem is the massive gap in talent between the chiefs and commanders on offense. I think we will see improvement...but how much?

Turner and LT will have to combine to be Kielce numbers wise

turner was a terrible oc the last season especially.i am excited for eb to run the offense.
I said that the day he was hired.

Turner has never gotten an NFL job based on his own merit. Everywhere he went, he was following his father around. Rivera brought in the same cast of clowns that got him fired in CAR (minus JDR). Turner literally has proven nothing in his NFL tenure. It was a bad decision from the get-go.

Any reason why?

In 7 years in the league, he has only had 1 good season. Everybody likes an underdog story but his career has not been a successful one at all.
Not picking a fight here, but I don't understand the support I see for him here. I thought he would be a cap casualty in all honesty. 164 catches in 7 years averages to be about 23 catches per year. He has only scored 12 TDs in his entire career. I think this is his last year here. I believe we can do better at the TE.

He is getting long in the tooth and just doesn't stretch the field.

Thanks for quoting the stats, not necessary. The guy was a QB converted to TE, that kills most of the first 4 years. His 5th year (1st with Washington) he caught 72 passes and had 6 TDs. He was injured more than half of his 6th year and last year caught 39 balls with two crappy QBs and was not fully healthy.

If and it is an IF he is fully healthy this year as he says I think they can look for him to catch approx. 50 passes. Why? EBs offense is likely TE friendly. They are going to more 3 and 5 step drops. I don't think the team needs Kelce, they have weapons so is Sam can spread the ball around to WRs, RBs and TEs as I hope and Thomas can stay healthy I think he will be just fine.

Thomas’ hands , size and athleticism are very good . Health is the issue . He came back from a brutal injury and it takes a yr . Now the question is at 32 can he be what he was at 29 ? to me it was worth finding out because you can still cut him after TC and preseason
