That is why I am so anxious to get the GM in place. They will likely have a different direction than Rivera. I wonder what they want to do and who they want to keep.
from what i have read it could be up to 6 months before the new owner puts his stamp on things . i dont think this will be quick

I wonder what he and magic will do for the season. I am guessing they sit back and observe...but do homework and target a GM to start the build.

This one has nothing to do with Biden. This is the market. People need to stop wasting money by going to games. People need to stop wasting money on concessions. Without demand, prices will tank.
Inflation sure doesn’t help the matter

Inflation sure doesn’t help the matter

Inflation is not relevant to the cost of tickets, except individuals may have less disposable income to waste. The problem is, the tickets will still sell out and even if they don’t, the high prices will offset empty seats.

62,000 available seats at 100/ticket average is 6.2 million per game. This is what a sell out yields at the 2022 average.

If they sell 30,000 tickets at $280/ticket, that yields 8.4 million per game. Less than half capacity.

At 22,250 tickets sold at $280/ticket, that yields 6.23 million per game. There is your break even point.

So like I said, inflation is not really a factor. It is 100% demand. People need to stop attending games if they don’t like the prices. If you really want to make a statement, don’t watch a game or two.

If everybody would turn off the games for a single week,

no attendance would cost the NFL about 100 million for attendance, 5 million for parking (based on a family of four at $20/car), 50 million in concessions ($50/person), and don’t even try to figure out the cost for advertisements. It is safe to say the NFL would lose about a billion dollars if the consumer had the balls to not watch.

Its always easier to blame than to seek understanding.
