Michael DiPietro, Vancouver Canucks.

DiPietro is one of the most exciting goaltenders in his draft class to watch. He battles on every puck. He’s not the biggest goalie in the draft, but that’s never been an issue at any level for him, as we saw at the Memorial Cup where he led his Windsor Spitfires to the championship. And with all due respect to Dylan Strome, I thought DiPietro should have been named tournament MVP.

Funny story: When one team at the NHL told him “We don’t think you can play in the NHL with our team, you’re too small” at the combine, he fired back with “well, I guess you have a problem with winning, then.” How do you not like that?

Owen Sounds GM Dale Degray was in the cesspool this morning and he borrowed Bobby lous tire pump to do some serious selling of his players ... Jonah Gadjovich and Petrus Palmu

with Gadjovich a Milan Lucic comparison came up ... only with better goal scoring instincts and a better brain (lol - he didnt say that part) ... as a 16 year old (before the OHL fight rule change) he had 7 fights ... first 4 of the season were against 19 and 20 year olds ... also, like Lucic he apparently played house up until bantam so hes a a bit of late bloomer with a strong work ethic

Moving the demers trade talk in here

Seems canucks fans are being saved from bennings stupid attempted moves by outside forces (Oprah listening?)

Burrows and hansen wouldnt have been dealt if expansion wasnt happening
Sbisa would still be a canuck if benning didnt have to expose him
Miller would get resigned with a BIGLY contract if he didnt want to be closer to his family
And we might have had demers for tanev if this didnt happen
