Lumbus has a protection headache at forward so it's not surprising.

Think this is a win regardless for the Canucks – the pick can’t really get any higher next year and it’ll likely be a deeper draft in 2018 anyway.

Kuzma in the cesspool and he says he has heard Cbus has a deal with Vegas to get the 55th pick in exchange for not taking a certain player who will be exposed in the expansion draft

Jackets could still have something in place with Vegas, just obviously not that pick.

The situation as far as who to protect at forward is not as bad as first thought with the news that they don't have to protect LTIR players. So with no need to waste a spot on Clarky, they can keep either of Anderson or Karlsson for sure. If they can get Hartnell to waive (and pay Vegas not to take him) they can keep both youngins.

Dubinsky had surgery today, so maybe they will technically LTIR him and pay Vegas not to touch him.

LTIR doesn't protect players.
Has to be career threatening injury.

Example, Dorsett missed most of the year with neck surgery, and will be expansion eligible

from the cesspool ("validated" by Lebrun): Tanev and the 33rd pick for Stars 3rd overall pick

That would be a nice trade for Vancouver.
Too nice.

If it was the 5th pick going to Dallas, maybe. I really like Tanev, I really want him on the Leafs if the price is right, but you don't flip a lottery pick for a d-man who's never scored more than 20 points or stayed healthy for a full season and an early 2nd rounder in a weak draft.

Of course, both of these things were pretty much the case with Adam Larsson and he was flipped straight up for one of the best forwards in hockey so who knows.

Why feed it? It will NEVER happen. Our cesspools feed too much into this shit. Dallas won't trade the third overall unless it's our 5th and a Boesner type. It's not hsppening for that. No way

I gotta say.

The more I read about this Micheal Rasmussen, The more i like him.

Good size 6'6, over 200 pounds (217)
Production 32 goals in 50 games

Best of all. WHL Prospect (Tri-City)

I'm so torn.

between Glass him and Valardi... just have no clear sense of ranking
or even Mittlestadt (despite his combine power)

If I were Jimbo. I'd be worried about that 180 on Glass

but i like a little size. So my viewpoint should be taken with a grain of salt

he's 6'2. that'll fill in.
On him I'm more worried about the lack of elite track record.
he shot up the ranks from out of nowhere this year. Is it an aberration, or a trend?

Yeah but still worries me. If he Fills out. Why might have something. Most i see do not

The rise worries me a bit but he might have developed well this year

I usually eat, sleep and breathe these on both sides(Nucks and Seahawks). This is a interesting class this year. Like last year, we know 1 and 2 but from 3 down is a crap shoot.

Aquilini goes on Seattle radio but hasn't taken questions from Vancouver media in three years. It's OK though, the Canucks are doing great.
