I think it's the Wings year (AGAIN....blech I hate the fecking wings and all of their success) this year Auto. I think last year was Jimmy Howards learning year. The only team in the West that could unseat you (in my humble opinion) is the Kings. I'm not as impressed with the Canucks now as I was before the season started.

The thing about the Canucks is that they have put the right pieces together for playoff hockey, imo. Bobby Lou will still have to play huge, but things like grit, secondary scoring, faceoff prowess have been adressed. They are better than the team that the Hawks beat.

Oh the Canucks may rep the west this year for all I know. I hate to say shit like this because I have zero evidence or stats to back this up.....the Canucks just don't seem to have "it". I don't know what the f "it" is, but they just don't in my humble opinion. They are a strong, strong team though that's for sure. Their defense isn't proven in high leverage situations and their goaltending still hasn't either (and no, I don't count Lou's performance in the Gold Medal game). To me, they seem a lot like the Sharks of years past.....very, very close, but just not there yet.

I hope the Canucks franchise does win one soon though, Lord knows their fans have been waiting long enough.
