16 players on IR for the Colts and they're playing the Chiefs who will be the healthiest they have been all season.

What is a more important number is how many STARTERS a team has on IR.

Hmm. Seems that KC would have at least come within two TDs of Indy when the two met at Arrowhead last week.

i missed the game i'll catch it tomorrow.

I can tell you this KC defense has taken a hit since Houston's injury. They'll have Albert and Houston in that game so no excuses

What is a more important number is how many STARTERS a team has on IR.

Just off the top of my head, planned opening day starters who were placed on IR:

Brian Bulaga
Jermichael Finley
Casey Hayward
Dejuan Harris
Randall Cobb (back during final game)
Johnny Jolly

Players who missed enough time to have qualified for placement:

Aaron Rodgers

Starters who missed significant time via injury:

Nick Perry
Clay Matthews (out for the season)
Mike Neal

So, take your team's starting roster, then subtract these starters (not even going to get into back-up injuries or players who missed 1-2-3-4 games):

Quarterback (and former MVP if you got 'em)
Left Tackle
Tight End
Cornerback
Running Back
Wide Receiver
D-Tackle
Outside Linebacker
Outside Linebacker (other side)

The Bears had a lot of injuries, sure, but the Packers had more and have had more consistently for several years now. This is the most important mystery surrounding the team - the talent is there, but always injured.
