It's pretty clear Gruden won't survive this year. Perhaps not throwing Haskins to the wolves isn't the worst thing long term.

I initially was against starting McCoy, but now I no longer really care one way or the other. Might as well throw the guy a bone for hanging around hurt last year in case they needed him. It probably cost him his shot at starting the beginning of the season this year with all the medical issues he endured. He will probably be hurt soon enough and Hawkins will still see some playing time this year anyway.

Funny how thing work out. The guy that couldn't find a start for three years here when a previous QB was here is now the starting QB against the Patriots.:nod::noidea:

It seems unless the Skins had a banner season that Gruden was on his last ride. If Bruce and Dan were leaning that way why draft a QB that Gruden didn't want? It also makes sense that they didn't draft a QB that Gruden did what if he is walking the green mile. This is the Redskin FO at its best. I sort of feel bad for Haskins, as I said yesterday he was likely unlucky to be drafted by the Redskins.

There were a lot of conversation/speculation that Gruden wanted Jones over anyone else. This isn't new news.

I'm not buying this BS speculation about draft day. Jay has been here for 6 years now and is surprised that a player that he wanted wasn't drafted by the team? Now that's some top of the boot bull-shit!! Like every other organization there are going to be disagreements on whom to draft. Those disagreements have to be settled somehow and usually there's the one guy in the room who has final say.

Ok, Ok, I get it Dan Snyder is that guy here in D.C., but Jay knew that too, he had to right? Six years is a long time to NOT know this!! So, he's unhappy with the choice, and?? Get the fuck over it, and do your job as a professional head coach or admit that you're not giving everything that you have to get the best out of these young men who have been put in your charge. He's NOT always right about players that he prefers in a draft either, it's possible that instead of getting into his "feelings" and letting the player sense his displeasure, he might have tried to happily work with the young man and make the best of what he had to work with. Who knows, he might have discovered the genuine head coach in himself and subsequently, a way to win some NFL games.

Colt is going to be sharp as a razor, he's ONLY missed the last 3 1/2 games of the 2018 season, all of the following off season workouts, the full training camp and a mere 4 games thus far this season.

I am not trying to start the save Gruden campaign … we know year one was bad with Griffin still around and year 6 is circling the toilet bowl just before disappearing but he was a mostly .500 coach for the years in between. I wish I could believe a new coaching staff would turn things around but I just don't feel it.

He is going down with anything but his rookie. He has even said as much.

I'll even go as far to say, he purposely went with Colt today (His guy) knowing this could be it. If he is going out today, it will be with his side kick, McCoy!
