Thank you!

If you don't mind me asking, what does a rig like that cost? I've been thinking about upgrading my photo capabilities. I have a 35mm and a nice zoom, but it's old school film, not digital.

Barkey worries me a little as a prospect. He has to really step into his throws to get velocity on them. I said the exact same thing about a highly dratfed QB in 2005.

You also said that about another highly drafted QB in 2010.

Unfortunately, serious photography is a very expensive hobby :( The setup that I got (found it as a deep discounted package online about 5 years back) cost me $1,600. I got the D70S body, and two lenses - a standard 18-70mm lens and a 70-300mm telephoto lens. The body prices have dropped down substantially since then! The next best body (a Nikon D7000) would now cost me roughly $1200.

The lens is what really makes this an expensive ordeal and you might know using a standard SLR. A new 18-70mm lens as well as the 70-300mm will cost somewhere between $500-600 each today. These are both Nikon lenses though. An off brand glass could be had for a few 100 cheaper at times. Tamron and Sigma are a couple of decent brands.

After watching him for the last few years, I would be pretty happy if we ended up with Junior Hemmingway on the Niners.

Denard Robinson as well, but not as a QB. Teach the man to play WR and watch Davone Bess 2.0.

Not explosive enough. He should have had that touchdown when he was in the open field but someway he managed to get walked. He's a tremendous possession receiver though. Jerricho Cotchery or TJ Housh 2.0

So you wouldn't take Cotchery or Housh ( in his prime)? I didn't say anything about using a top 10 pick on him. The man wins every jump ball thrown his way.

I was guessing $2k, so I'm not shocked. My late father was a professional photographer so I certainly have an appreciation for the costs. For my current rig, I bought an off brand zoom (can't recall brand and too lazy to get up right now) that's worked admirably.

BTW, thanks. I'm probably about 12 months out so I'm just starting to snoop around. I'm also considering buying used. I'm totally comfortable being a little behind the technology times.

Well there are other receivers now in the college level who are able to win 95% of jump balls thrown their way as well. And they're a bit more explosive than Hemmingway, and wouldn't have to spend a top ten on them either. He might not even be the best receiver on his own team when it's all said and done.

He is the best WR on Michigan. Unless by "when it's all said and done" you mean in the history of the program.
