oh yeah, the slider and curve still in progress
But, can you beat a 93 mph changeups

Are they still talking about sending him down when Burnett comes back?
Not a problem for a while, Wandy got shut down
I have this sinking feeling he is going to have tommy john surgery and then pick up his player option, that would really suck.
cole has stuff, and good control.
he now needs to learn how to pitch and needs someone to show him how to pitch high and very tight with hte heat and away with the offspeed.
a 98-100 FB
93 slider
great pitches to start with.
a changup needs to be more in the mid to high 80's
his stuff is so above what others have, but if he throws everything down the middle at the knee to thigh, everybody digs in and takes their licks nad he provides some of the power they just need to change the direction.
the problem with sending him down - the AAA pitching coach doesnt seem to be able to teach him how to work the hitters and not just pitch to contact when he needs to doominate at specific times.
in my honest opinion i am not sure a 93 mph change up is that good.....once hitters figure out his stuff it will just be another fastball in their eyes......
if he could throw about 96-98 and drop the change up to around 88 with a curve/slider then that could be dominant
but a 93 change with a 98/99 fastball will get crushed if thats all he has got after awhile......

If you are referring to a 5 mph spread between fastball and change, I agree.
If you are saying that a 93 mph change isn't good no matter the fastball speed, that makes no sense. It's a change up cause the arm action and difference in speed.
