sounds like he's snapped and looking for people who pissed him off before he kills himself or gets killed by police.

yup ... shot 3 people in 2 days ... 2 of them dead

The Burnaby RCMP have issued an urgent warning about the public safety risk involving a 26-year-old man wanted for attempted murder.

Angus David Mitchell is wanted in connection with the attempted murder of a 51-year-old Burnaby man who was shot on May 29 in front of his home located in the 4400 block of Gilpin Crescent.

The victim, a former landlord of Mitchell's, survived the shooting but is in hospital in serious condition.

Mitchell is also a person of interest in the May 27 double homicide that occurred inside the Royal Oak Sushi House restaurant in which the owner, Huong "Andy" Tran, and a woman died.

On Wednesday, Insp. Tim Shields of the Burnaby RCMP issued a warning about Mitchell.

"Mitchell is armed and extremely dangerous and his whereabouts are unknown," Shields said in a press release. "He is believed to be armed with a high-powered rifle with a scope. He is also believed to be living out of his 1994 green Ford Aerostar van with B.C. licence 591PTG. The public is asked to be on the lookout for this van in parking lots or isolated locations where he may be staying in it overnight.

"In addition, anyone who knows Mitchell and has had a conflict with him in the past needs to be extremely cautious about their personal safety and should contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604 294-7611. This would include former co-workers, employers, landlords, roommates or anyone else who Mitchell has had a conflict with at any time in the past."

Mitchell is believed to be in possession of a high-powered Mossberg Maverick rifle with a scope.

Police consider Mitchell to be emotionally unstable and are asking for help from the public to find him.

If spotted, police advise that Mitchell should not be approached or confronted, but 911 should be called immediately.

Police are asking property owners of motels, restaurants and businesses to check their parking lots for Mitchell's green Aerostar van.

Mitchell is a former security guard and is not known to police. He is 5-4 tall and 121 pounds.

Anyone with information on Mitchell's whereabouts should call 911 or the Burnaby tip line at 604 294-7611

So he's mad at his boss, so he shot his landlord and two people who were eating sushi.

Okay...

Was he security at that sushi restaurant? Or was he just assuming all bosses sucked?

no motive .. not employed by them ... the sushi place is a small hole in the wall establishment ... did he get bad service? :noidea:

and theres this

The owner of a Victoria security company is about to be advised by Victoria Police detectives on what security precautions he and his workers should take relating to the manhunt for Angus David Mitchell, The Province has learned.

Mirko Filipovic, owner of Themis Security Inc., said Mitchell, 26, worked for his firm as a contractor on three occasions, the latest contract expiring about six weeks ago.

While unable to provide specific details, Filipovic said Mitchell’s parting with the company was acrimonious.

“I’m concerned for the safety of our employees and our families,” Filipovic told The Province.

I'm guessing, based on Mitchell's behavior, that "conflict" could be a very loosely defined term.
