Get the direct link - http address that ends in jpg, gif, etc. AND either
(1) Click the little picture button (with the mountains) and paste the link in there OR
(2) type

VIDEOS
Each YouTube link look like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPB0eLG7nTg&feature=related

(1) Copy and paste just the blue part above - whatever comes after the equals sign. Leave out the part that say "&feature..." if it is present at all
(2) Take the pasted part and put it inbetween..[ YOUTUBE] [/ YOUTUBE] like so OR paste it into the space after you press the YouTube button

Hope that helps. Copy and past the blue I provided above as a test and see if you can do it.

to get pic info:
find a pic you like on a website or google search or wherever.
right click, select "copy image location"

to post here:
click on the yellow little box above the place where you type (its a picture of mountains)
paste what you have copied in the window that pops up.
click OK.

yer done.


ps... technically this is called 'hotlinking', and it's frowned upon because you are using the other site's bandwidth for the picture.
but it's the easiest method.
