A part of me (the sick part) misses framing houses full time. It was the last thing I did for years before going out on my own.

Now if I order trusses, I order a crew to put 'em up too.

Are you a general contractor? This week I'm by myself, doing all the hip blockings, valley trusses, blockings up the ass. I'm helping a friend out building a 3200sq ft house, The roof is 5/12, 4 valleys and 4 hips. Always wondering how the mainland carpenter does truss work. Everything that pertains to trusses is all hand-driven 16's, no gun nails. Is that the same for you? We also have a SHITLOAD of simpson hardware (hurricane straps etc) for building code.

Why don't those doors and walls go all the way to the floor? Who the fuck want's to see a bunch of guys pants and undies. Maybe it's if you hear a fart you try and guess who it was?.
