my dad was in the same boat. 2 year old lease, and the dealership kept calling him, asking him to turn in the lease and order a new one.
finally the offers were good enough where he did it last week.

One guy I play hockey with works at a pretty large Ford dealership, and says that their used inventory was a choice of three cars.

Good move. When I worked at home before I had a car for almost 12 years. I'd like to do that again but working so far from home (in normal times) I kill a car and it's resale value.
So until I work closer to home, at home full-time, or retire lol I need to just assume I will usually have a car payment and do whatever I can to keep it low.
