Sure, but that doesn't really address the point that immigrants (both documented and undocumented) commit crimes at a far lower rate the people born in the United States. As for the rate of immigration in Canada, it's been handled quite poorly in my opinion and is one of several reasons why the PM has resigned from his position.

I'm pretty sure the crime rate for citizens versus immigrants in any country will show the same, right? We have no issue with LEGAL immigrants

I don't know, but my guess is that is likely the case. One of the reasons for this is that they likely know the status in the country is quite tenuous and they do not want to do anything to draw attention to themselves.

I was a registered Democrat from 1979 til around 2010 or so. got to see Jimmy Carter speak at my school when he was running in 1975. I didn't leave the Democratic party, they left me. So now I register as Independent. I want term limits for congress just like the president has. Congress controls America, not the president, and they've fucked the country up and screwed its citizens for more than 50 years. If you think what has happened the past 4 years isn't a problem then you've been living with blinders on

During an election year after the damage was done. during Trumps first term we had remain in Mexico and it worked. We were able to vet the applicants. And they were told to say asylum, not looking for work.

Just to wrap things up, I really hope things go well in America as when America does well, Canada usually does okay as well. I have my doubts that the incoming administration will put in place policies that will improve the lives of Americans, but we'll see.
