Just an update on the US border agent who was shot and killed earlier this week in northern Vermont:

The FBI said that the deceased person is a German national in the U.S. on a current visa. They are not releasing the names of the people involved in the shooting at this time.

Maybe in the future we should refrain from using phrases like "illegal immigrant" until we have confirmation of that fact.

The FBI said a third person was injured and is now in custody.
