Agreed. Coaches are stupid sometimes. I mean, someone gave Tennessee a first place vote. For the record, Oregon was 5th in this same poll last year.

To be fair Oregon had the most miserable season they've had in eight years by far and they still finished in the top 20 last season against a very difficult schedule. I completely understand why they started 5th in the polls last year.

Try not to laugh, but I think San Diego State is being grossly underrated in this thing. Eighteen votes? This is a team that not only won its last ten games in a row, they smashed their opponents in doing so and return basically everyone. They have a lot of momentum. Their defense is rock solid and they run the ball downhill. To me they are easily the second best Group of 5 team going into the season and the clear favorite to win the Mountain West. They will need to do better against Power 5 teams though. Their record has been pathetic against them. I think they are something like 1-18 in the last 19 with the one win being against a pathetic Washington State team a while back.

Watching the Bruins lose to a 5/7 Huskers team made my bowl season. The Huskers are improving too tho. I se hem back on the rise. How are you rolltide. The Devils have made a massive splash this off season nabbing Taylor Hall in a robbery of a trade

Larsson is a great defensemen But he's not Taylor Hall. Shero has always been a hell of a GM. He is a trade genius. Edmonton has been A dumpster fire for years. Loaded with #1 draft picks but they could never pull it together. Great forwards no defense. Because of that Shero took the opening and worked magic. Its not often a GM can get a #1 overall pick all star forward for a defenseman straight up. He also filled the holes on defense via free agency. And had one hell of a draft. Watch out for Mcleaod and Bastian in a year or two. The devils are built on speed and skill now. I knew Shero was good I never expected the rebuild to materialize that fast. They went from a bad team that relied on a top tier goalie. To a play off contender and serious cup contender in the next few years.

As of now I'm really looking forward to Bama USC. Kicking off the season with two blue bloods. Immersed in tradition,success and talent. You cant ask for much more

No question. They still have talent, they'll win some games, but basically bringing in no recruiting class this year along with the other departures, think it will be tough sledding for this year and even worse next.

yea, they still have enough talent on the roster to beat a lot of teams but man o man its got to be tough for those players and coaches to stay focused like they need to with everything that has happened AND what is STILL going on as far as investigations ect..

And like you say, after this year they goin down the toilet for a looong time.

I think the biggest point I'll be watching with them is their run game. I'm sure who's going to be doing the blocking. They have a couple good backs, and the QB is good. Just going to be interesting as the conference slate gets running how long they can all stay healthy.
